Under: The Princess Party
On Monday I carried out my first Princess Party. Leading up to a 'first' new party reminds me slightly of the build up to OFSTED's imminent arrival at school. Going over the order in my head again and again, practising timings and tweaking until the last minute.
Once everything was set up, the lovely little Princesses arrived. All was going to plan- an outfit to suit the desires of each little girl (even the one who insisted on being a 'bad fairy!') smiling faces and excitement about what was to come next.
The Birthday girl had a great time, I had a great time...all went to plan, but for some reason I always find myself highly self critical after such events. Rather than focusing on what went well, I found myself analysing improvements that could be made. The party needs to be slightly longer, and the girls need to stay in place during the bracelet activity to make sure they don't drop their creations and have to start again :/
All in all, I am pleased with how the party went and I look forward to helping other little girls 'Graduate' from 'Princess Academy'. This is what the Mum had to say...
"A huge thank you Karen! Today's party was just sooooo brilliant. The girls were totally enchanted by it all and it was lovely to have the luxury of watching them have such a magical time. You are one very special party lady. I honestly cannot sing your praises enough!"
